Maths Learning Difficulties (MLD) - Learning difficulties in numeracy

This video series presented by the University of Melbourne in collaboration with the Department of Education and Training aims to develop teachers understanding of learning difficulties in numeracy, including dyscalculia.

Description

In June 2017, The Department of Education and Training released its Literacy and Numeracy Phase 2 Initiative, which outlines Victoria's plan to improve literacy and numeracy for all students. Phase 2 included the commitment to deliver numeracy teaching resources and guidance for teaching students with Maths Learning Difficulties (MLD) include dyscalculia.

The Department of Education and Training commissioned this series of videos for the purpose of developing the understanding of teachers and school leaders about learning difficulties in numeracy and dyscalculia. This five-part video series is designed to provide useful and usable information around how to best support students with MLD.
