Using Live Captioning in the Classroom for Deaf and hard of hearing students

Description

This session is the final instalment in our captioning webinar series, and it’s designed to give teachers practical, hands-on skills for using live captioning in the classroom.

We’ll step through how to set up and use both Microsoft and Google captioning tools, with a focus on supporting Deaf and hard of hearing students. You’ll also learn how to connect captioning systems to student hearing devices and equipment, ensuring accessibility and inclusion for all learners.

The webinar is facilitated by Jeremy Brett, Visiting Teacher from the North-West Victoria Region, who brings a wealth of expertise and real-world experience in this area.

This is a practical, “how-to” session that will give you the confidence to set up everything you need to make captioning work seamlessly in your classroom.
