To support the implementation and delivery of animal-assisted programs in Victorian government schools to support student wellbeing and engagement.
Description
This module has been developed to guide Victorian government schools in making informed decisions about implementing animal-assisted wellbeing and engagement programs, including school support animals and animal-assisted therapy.
It has been created in collaboration with La Trobe University and aligns with the Animals – Wellbeing and Engagement policy on the department’s Policy and Advisory Library.
Audience
Victorian government school and DE staff.
Completion
Successful completion of the ‘Implementing an animal-assisted wellbeing and engagement program in your school’ module will generate a completion certificate providing eligibility to claim 0.5 hours of professional learning.
Delivery
Self-paced online module. Access is provided for 4 weeks from registration.
The module will take approximately 30 minutes to complete.
