Description
This facilitator-led blended learning course has been co-designed by the Department of Education and Autism Spectrum Australia (Aspect) to develop understanding and capabilities in:
- assisting students with autism, using a strengths-based approach to inclusion
- the key characteristics of autism
- positive behaviour support as well as a range of strategies to support students with autism
- assessments that can be used to determine student skills and assist with creating goals, teaching strategies and adjustments.

Registrations
Term 3 registrations have been paused. Registrations re-open 17 August - 11 September 2026.

Completion
Successful completion of an Inclusive Classrooms course provides eligibility to claim 20 hours professional learning contributing to relevant association registration requirements.
Delivery
Facilitator-led blended learning courses undertaken over 8 weeks, which include:
- self-paced online modules
- collaborate with others in online discussions and reflect on your own learning
- two learning tasks to ensure learning is meaningful and applied
- two facilitated 1-hour sessions (face-to-face or virtual conferencing held after school hours).
Audience
Victorian government school staff and regional staff.
