Designed to extend your knowledge, understanding and skills in supporting students with vision impairment.
Description
This facilitator-led blended learning course has been co-designed by the Department of Education and Statewide Vision Resource Centre to develop understanding and capabilities in:
- assisting students with vision impairment, using a strengths-based approach to inclusion
- how the eye works and some of the common vision conditions
- the simple adjustments that can offer students with vision impairment a more inclusive learning environment
- the Expanded Core Curriculum for students with vision impairments.

Registrations
Term 3 registrations have been paused. Registrations re-open 17 August - 11 September 2026.

Completion
Successful completion of an Inclusive Classrooms course provides eligibility to claim 20 hours professional learning contributing to relevant association registration requirements.
Delivery
Facilitator-led blended learning courses undertaken over 8 weeks, which include:
- self-paced online modules
- collaborate with others in online discussions and reflect on your own learning
- two learning tasks to ensure learning is meaningful and applied.
- two facilitated 1-hour virtual sessions (held after school hours).
Audience
Victorian government school staff and regional staff.
