Description
Beginning a behaviour plan for a student with complex needs and who may also present with sensory loss (deaf, blind, deafblind) can be a challenging task for any professional.
In this presentation, Dr Kasee Stratton-Gadke examines the concerns related to challenging or problematic behaviour and discusses how to identify reasons for such behaviour. Participants will learn functional supports to transform a student’s behaviour from challenging to productive, while considering the student’s complex sensory and medical needs.

Dr Kasee Stratton-Gadke is a licensed psychologist, school psychologist and Associate Professor in School Psychology at Mississippi State University. Her clinical and research experience has focused on developmental delays, Autism, challenging behaviours and rare genetic conditions and she has been published extensively on these topics. Dr Stratton-Gadke also directs the Bulldog CHARGE Syndrome Research Lab, a rare syndrome resulting in the leading cause of congenital deaf-blindness and multiple anomalies.
